Facebook Jobs Went Away?! Part 1.

𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 “𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐬” 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞. 😱

𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 and applicants will no longer be able to apply to jobs within the feature itself.

𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐬, Facebook is doing this to higher the quality of both the hiring side and applicants side. 😁

In my experience, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫. For example, someone could be applying for a CNA job without even knowing what CNA means. The jobs marketplace also made it easy for unprofessional companies to post and market jobs that are going nowhere. 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬.

So how can you post jobs after this update and how can applicants apply to your jobs?

🔹𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 on the Facebook app and Facebook desktop website. This will still be shown to your active following and audience. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐝𝐬.

🔹𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 (boosted & non-boosted) through the Inbox and Manage Jobs sections of their page. They will be able to use the ads manager with the targeting features as usual.

🔹𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 “𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐰” 𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

So the conclusion is: 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. We are now going to have more control of who can see and apply to our job postings. 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 is that you 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.💙✅
